I’m Phil Beattie, writing from Brisbane, Australia, where I live with my wife, Grace.
I jumped into online marketing at the end of 2019 because I couldn’t stand working for someone else any longer. I craved freedom—freedom to shape my own schedule, grow at my own pace, and build something that would genuinely last.
I tried everything, including:
- Web design
- Fiverr gigs
- Multi-level marketing (MLM)
- Adsense advertising
- Dropshipping
Nothing worked for me.
Then I discovered affiliate marketing.
I knew I wanted to succeed with this. However, the online marketing world is like the Wild West. There’s a lot of shady characters trying to teach you methods that are over-hyped and don’t work for beginners.
They say you need to:
- Build complex funnels
- Learn copywriting overnight
- Create endless content for your blog and social media accounts

- Buy several expensive courses
I did all of those things—and the only thing they made me was broke, not profitable.
